Opening ceremony - Danny Boyle
Closing ceremony - Susan Boyle

At one point i thought they were going to wheel out the cast of Hi De Hi (led out by Peggy with the tea trolley no doubt) to be followed by Quirke & Robson doing the Birds of a Feather theme tune.

Does George Michael like fellas? He was very subtle about it if he does... There was deffo a bit of "right i'll do Freedom but i'm shoehorning a new one in" - at which point 10,000 punters fuck off to the bar.

Spice Girls - "here's Em in the place who likes it in her face" - how did i miss that first time around? My daughter used to love these when she was younger, we had it in the house non stop and i even took her to see them at Earls Court and that pearl of wisdom managed to fly under the radar. The magic of pop music.

Anyhow i rather enjoyed the whole 2 weeks after having an air of indifference about it all beforehand, can you just rephase the fucking traffic lights back to normal now?

Missed Luke Howard in the Brazil bit, as I couldn't take any more by 11pm. Anyone see him?
I should know, I played an Italian party whore in the Amanda Knox story.

"Its a lot like a massive disco" . No trev, it wasnt

I'd have prefered Dennis Nilsen doing the commentary rather than Trevor Nelson.
"No one can stop this gang at the moment."
